Le Mans Motors Specs

Here's a snapshot of my Le Mans Motors collection. I wrote up the specs of the motors directly on the image for reference (without having to look for those precious vintage catalogs). It still lacks some data though, like rpm for the H-240S and the 360ST, so if anyone has the details, please send me a mail at optimaforever@gmail.com and I'll update the data sheet...

I got a complete RTR Ultima pack from a friend who was not into RC for about £5 in the late 80's, I loved it and drove it all the time until a month later, when another friend met with a tractor and damaged the rear. Buying spare parts for £50 was out of the question in those days, and years later I threw it away after not finding the parts I needed. I now wish to kill myself for that, it turns out the parts are not that impossible to find! Anyways, the 240ST motor lives on smashingly in my Tamiya Lunch Box from 86.
Greetings,
Magnus, Sweden

Thanks, this is so useful :)
Does anyone yet know the RPM for the H-240S. I have one in my Turbo Optima but I don't know the details of it. I have a feeling though that it runs slightly slower than the original 240S that came with car.
I do have the original leaflet that came with the motor, it's all in Japanese, but seems to have no data about the specs of the motor :(

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can help me with the differences between the lemans 240ST and lemans 240E. I had seen a few 240E motors on-line and could not find any specifications on them at all. Finally found one on ebay and got it last night from the mailbox. First difference is that one is ST. I believe S is for speed and T for touque. E is for endurance (I presume since the 600E is an endurance 10 minute motor). But I find it odd that a motor with such short run time, 240, would have an endurance designation. Also the 240 ST cannot be taken appart easily. There are metal tabs so you have to bend them back to remove the endbell if you want to clean the comm or inspect it for wear. The 240E looks like it is rebuildable and also the timing is adjustable on the 240E and it isn't adjustable on the 240ST.

If anyone has any specs for the 240E such as rpm, motor turns and winds please reply.

7.2V 1200-4500mAh
just be sure to cool it enough between runs!

Hi laxpepsi,
the 240E is a motor for air planes and boats

I went to Canada to visit my cousin back in 1994 and bought the Kyosho Maxxum FF. I destroyed the car in 2 months (i was 13) no money for spair parts and no internet to find them. My mom threw it away after 1 year. All these years i felt so sorry for the car that i bought 3 thanx to ebay. Today one is in Perfect condition and i only need the Lemans 240ST motor to complete it. Thanks to this page i found the data of the motor.
