Jürgen's Kyosho Collection (DE)

Here's an remarquable Kyosho vintage collection!
Jürgen Hach (and his wife Antonia) are perhaps amongst the most famous kyosho vintage resellers of Ebay,
( better known as codename '166460')! I just realized he had a very complete collection of my favourite cars (Optima, Javelin, Turbo Scorpion, Turbo Optima, Rocky, Turbo Rocky, Ultima, Gallop), and as I was seeing his pics, I figured out how maniac he was: every line, every decal, every colour scheme is faithful to the box art!!!
I often see 'box art' (or supposed so) cars bodies, but usually a stripe line or two are missing, or a decal is misplaced, a blue slightly different from the one on the box, etc. etc. BUT Jürgen seems to be a perfectionist!!! His cars could have been the ones kyosho shot to be on the original boxes!
Look at the black line on the bottom of the body! On the box it's hardly noticeable and lot of people tend to miss it, but hey! it hasn't escaped to our eagle-eyed guy!
Amazing.
WE WANT TO SEE MORE!!! :-D

I guess you didnt notice the fact that the number is a totally different font then?!

Actually, yes.
But Jurgen has been keen enough not to use the number "5" provided in the kit. That's already a good point.
btw, Hagar from VintageRC has managed to produce the "5" in the correct font, if you care... :-)

Hi, did Hagar do the "5" as a computer file? Have you got the file yourself? If so could you make it available for download on your site and send me a link to it? Is there a link to the file anywhere else on the web? Does Hagar instead make and sell a decal for this? Do you have any that I could buy from you? If not where can I buy them please? Have you got a web link to them?
Best Regards, Alistair G.

I have just asked Jurgen as to which exact brand and code number of Blue and Yellow paint this is that was used on his box art Optima shown here. I'll let people here know if I get a reply. Also I contacted the vintageRC (now Landjump) website and asked if Hagar is available and if he has the computer file / font / decal for the number 5 as you mentioned. Again I'll post here any answers I get.
Cheers,
Alistair G.

I don't know if Hagar did a computer file but I guess yes.
the paint colors are the official Kyosho ones but only available in Germany by the official Kyosho site.

Hi, can you tell me then please is the blue color the Kyosho Polyca Sky Blue or the Kyosho Polyca Blue ? As they made 2 blues apparently.
Thanks,
Alistair G.

Well here is the message that I got back from Ebay member 166460 (Jurgen) who painted the box art car in the picture above. He said "the colour is original Kyosho calsonic Blue and yellow. The Number 5 I made it in some houres with knife and paper. A difficult job but looks very nice. greetings from Germany" so now I know what paint I need. If anyone has any for sale I am Live_Steam_Mad on Tamiyaclub.com so mail me! The official product description and code for this stuff seems to be Mini-Z Air Color Calsonic Blue , code : MZW150CB . As far as I can tell it is only available in Japan. Kyosho still list it as available on their Japanese website but I can't buy it from Kyosho directly it seems?
Cheers, Alistair G.

Kyosho Germany is the only one to offer online shop, but they don't have any paint in stock. I already tried asking somebody in Japan but even there the Kyosho paint isn't in stock so I guess you only have US paint or Tamiya paint choices.
Soooooooooo ridiculous!

on Kyosho US I can only find red and blue

We are discussing this also at http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=47058 . There are (going to be) high resolution pictures of the box posted there in a few minutes (I received them from a TC member and will credit him with them when I upload them to that topic). I have personally contacted Hobby World Japan who actually speak fair English (Rakuten don't, who were the only other seller that I found that I could work out how to contact since the only links that I found to this paint were in Japanese!). HWJ said they were checking with Kyosho whether they were OK for sending me these paints in the post and they said they would get back to me. If I get hold of the paints (I am in St.Helens, NW England) I'll let you know either here or in the above topic. Cheers, Alistair G.
