Optima Mid Custom Special

Here's a shot of my Optima Mid Custom Special runner, equipped with a 3000 mAh lipo and a Brushless motor, fitted with Akira Kogawa's HPI Superstar wheels and Lazer ZX-5 shocks.

Your Optima Mid Custom Special is beautiful ! you have inspired me to bring mine back to life... Long live the Optima's they came from a magical age in off road RC.

Just how much better does this car handle on the track than the Turbo Optima Mid??? I have always wanted this car just can't find 1 that is in decent shape!!! Your car is OUTSTANDING!!!

@ Clint:
Actually the long wheelbase mids are easier to drive than short ones (mid, turbo mid and turbo Mid Se) especially on bumps but they are also less fun to drive because I prefer the nervous style of the short wheelbase Mids. Hence the brushless in my Mid Custom special, just to spice up the driving a little bit (and ruin the gears :D)

I know this is an old thread but I have to say your O-Mid Special is best I've ever seen. What size wheels/tires are those? Were you able to just mount the Lazer shocks or did you have to modify the shocks or car in any way? Again, awesome car!
